Good food, nice atmosphere

Wife and I came here with some friends. Our first time but not theirs. When you first walk in you sign in and wait to be seated.We ordered a variety of things from the menu which was simple and not crammed full which made deciding easy. The shrimp and breaded tenderloin where huge, fried pickles and corn nuggets where crisp, the chicken was juicy and the sweet tea was like it was from the south. The whole experience was pleasant including the scenery to and from in this small town and the prices were reasonable.

This place makes the best fried chicken you will ever put in your mouth !

The chicken batter is crispy but lacks any sort of seasoning. The Hoosier fry’s straight up sucked due to no seasoning. I believe the cooks have never heard of salt and pepper here. Cans for drinks also are served here, not fountains.

Food was great small cozy atmosphere. Very family friendly,woul love to go back an enjoy another quite dinner with the family and friends.

Breading on both the tenderloin and chicken is very good and light.

Cod dinner consisted of 2 over cooked half dollar sized pieces of fish. Mashed potatoes were cold. Slaw had almost no flavor. Chicken wasn’t bad. The good, our server she was fantastic. We may have hit them at a bad time. We were there 15 years ago and it was great.

Come for the Chicken and fried green beans, stay for the laughter with friends and wonderful staff. Seating is small and tables close together. Walkers would be difficult in the restrooms and wheelchairs would not fit. There are 2 large steps to get in, just something to think about if coming with elderly.

Being coming here for years if u don't like this place please check urself in a mental institution

I have never been to this place it just keeps popping up so I'm hoping if I do a review it will quit popping up. Google just keeps popping this stupid place up I've never eaten there and now I never will because of this I don't know if they've got some sort of a little scam going on or what the deal is but you lost my business thanks to Google I'm tired of seeing your restaurant never been there Never will

I've only been here one time. It is a little way off the interstate, so it may not be the best place to eat if you are in a hurry on the interstate. They have daily specials, like fish. Their chicken is amazing, I don't think I've ever seen that much steam come out of a chicken breast. You can order it by the chicken (2 breasts, 2 wings, 2 thighs, 2 legs, & 2 pieces we weren't sure about.) They had pretty good fries, which you can get regular or seasoned. Our waiter was very friendly, he talked to us a bit. You should definitely eat here.

The building itself isn't much to look at. The food is very good though. Great fried chicken. Good service, although they were a little understaffed when we were there on a Saturday afternoon. They weren't prepared for the influx of Christmas tree shoppers.

Great fried chicken 👌 Crunchy and we'll seasoned. Super friendly service. Great place for a family dinner. It's clean, but is a little of a dive... probably because of its age and hasn't been updated. The rest of the food is severely under seasoned, including the onion rings, which were otherwise crunchy and not greasy. Probably one of the better, if not only, choices to go if you're at Lake Santee.

Fried chicken was awesome and we also had the fried catfish. Both were great but I preferred the chicken. We had so much food leftover that lunch will be good tomorrow. Our server was amazing and very attentive. Definitely will return.
